I've been using Cakewalk since it was dubbed "Cakewalk Pro Audio", that's over 20 years ago now. Anything you can do in one you can also do in the other, but the steps you need to take would be different. They are both DAWs and share some similarities, of course. Cakewalk has the same tools as FLS, but it's missing the step sequencer (or at least, it did). You can do it in FL Studio if you have to, but it's easy as a breeze in Cakewalk.
